Dreaming About Our Homestead

The bright and humble image above is an original watercolor by MKisling titled "On the Prairie" Art...This painting brings about happy dreamed-filled visions my husband, Joe, and I share for the homestead we will have someday.

We dream of living on a beautiful prairie, like the one pictured above, and having our happy family nestled inside a cozy cottage or earth-rammed house. Although we have no children of our own yet, we dream of having a house full of playful, imaginative children. Our homestead will be a farm so we can tend to our future goats, chickens, cows, and maybe even rabbits! We've got to have a miniature horse or two as well! Joe and I are currently living on a miniature horse ranch where we feed the minis and give them love; having this undertaking has opened our minds and hearts to the joys of having a farm, and has encouraged us to go after our dreams of having our own homestead. One of my shop items is featured in a treasury today! Please check out this adorably rustic treasury created by Sock Monster titled "Plan B" where my organic kombucha is featured amongst all of the other homesteading essentials!

Baby Girl Miniature Filly Born Last Night!

Last night we had a beautiful, pumpkin colored miniature baby filly born and she is so adorable! She doesn't have a name yet...today she has been exploring this fascinating new world, basking in the sun, and enjoying the nice breeze. Here are the pictures that I took of her and her mother, Cupcake, this morning:

New Baby Miniature Filly Born This Morning!

This morning Joe and I awoke to a beautiful, new miniature baby filly...she doesn't have a name yet (my guess is that Tommy and Trudy the owners of T.n.T Stables Miniature Horse Ranch will decide to give her a flower name since her mother's name is Rose and her sister's name is Daisy), but she is adorable! Here are some pictures I took of her and her mother:

My husband, Joe, giving the sweet little girl some love on her very first day in this curious world!

Awww...she loves her mama! :-D

Me petting the lovable little girl! She is going to be a wonderful people horse; I can tell already...and she is so soft!

Here is a video of Rose with her baby girl filly born last year in February...sweet little "Daisy" now named "Dolly" from her new owners:
