The bright and humble image above is an original watercolor by MKisling titled "On the Prairie" Art...This painting brings about happy dreamed-filled visions my husband, Joe, and I share for the homestead we will have someday.We dream of living on a beautiful prairie, like the one pictured above, and having our happy family nestled inside a cozy cottage or earth-rammed house. Although we have no children of our own yet, we dream of having a house full of playful, imaginative children. Our homestead will be a farm so we can tend to our future goats, chickens, cows, and maybe even rabbits! We've got to have a miniature horse or two as well! Joe and I are currently living on a miniature horse ranch where we feed the minis and give them love; having this undertaking has opened our minds and hearts to the joys of having a farm, and has encouraged us to go after our dreams of having our own homestead.
