Reminiscent of a romantic Cinderella glass slipper fairytale, she said, "from the very beginning they were a part of my vision", as they beautifully complemented her fifties inspired wedding! I'm so happy that this gorgeous vintage pair of shoes found their sole-mate (pun intended) bride-to-be! They were with her as she walked down the aisle and as she danced with her sweetheart!

These shoes are so cute! I'm so glad that many brides still love that "old-vintage" look. I'm hoping that when I get married my husband will be on board with the whole vintage style because it's something I've always been a huge fan of. I love the tea length style of wedding dress, with cute little retro pumps. I know that many retro style items can be hard to find. Do you have any recommendations of websites that sell vintage accessories for lower prices? Also, do you have any unique ideas for a vintage themed wedding?
As a little side note: Nowadays I've heard that more and more women are deciding to not follow the traditional, "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue." What is your opinion on this? I've noticed that younger generations seem to shy away from older ideas. I'd like to hear your opinion on this topic.

As far as "something old, etc." goes, I very much see this nostalgic wedding tradition carried out by bride's today. One bride purchased a vintage pale blue bridal garter from my LaOohLaLa Boutique Etsy shop which came with a pocket for containing a good fortune silver sixpence coin...as the old phrase traditionally goes: "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe!" My twin sister, Andrea, (who is the Etsy shop owner of "Storybook Artifact") and I are 27 years old; my wedding was 7 years ago and Andrea's was 8 years ago and we are both lovers of yesteryear's romantic sentiments...we each incorporated the "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue" tradition into our bridal ensembles (my "something blue" was my dear late mother's bluebird necklace and Andrea wore our grandmother's sapphire and diamond bracelet). I think that it is thoughtfully heartwarming to carry out this old tradition, and for all the brides out there, I suggest being prepared to answer the questions of sweet elderly lady relatives who inquire about it...because they most certainly will!
